CBA Concepts: Coverage

There are three ways to inactivate Coverage:

  1. Use the Close Today link on the Unit page.

  2. Use the Close link on the Coverage page.

  3. Close the Unit that is associated with the Coverage.

Close Today Link

This method should only be used if the Coverage inactivation date is today's date.

 

1. Navigate to the Unit that is associated with the Coverage.

Locate the Unit by navigating to the Contractor the Unit is associated with, or use Search.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Click Close Today.

The Coverage will be inactivated using today's date.

 

 

 

 

info_tall.gifInception dates and termination dates are at 12:00am.  The Inception Date is the first day with coverage and is included in the calculation of premium.  The Termination Date is the first day without coverage (terminating at 12:00am) and is not included in the calculation of premium.

Close Coverage

This method can be used to inactivate Coverage on any date, including to inception.

 

1. Navigate to the Coverage.

Locate the Coverage by navigating to the Unit it is associated with, or by using Search.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Click Close.

3. Select the Coverage's inactivation date.

4. Review your changes.

Close Unit

When closing a Unit, all Coverage associated with the Unit must be closed.

 

1. Navigate to the Unit that is associated with the Coverage.

Locate the Unit by navigating to the Contractor the Unit is associated with, or use Search.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Click Close.

3. Select inactivation dates.

Select an inactivation date for the Unit.  If you would like to use the same date for the Coverage items and Driver, click Use Date for All.

info.pngCBA will display the each Coverage's inception date, as well as an inactivation date range.  Please review these dates before closing the Coverages.

 

info.pngDrivers do not have to be inactivated along with the Unit.  Instead, users can inactivate the Driver-Unit association.  See the link below for more information.

Click Confirm Close to close the Unit and Coverages.
